We treat all musculoskeletal problems

These problems include anything to do with muscles, joints, ligaments and nerves.  They can include soft tissue injuries like hamstring strains or repetitive strain injuries (golfer’s and tennis elbow), sprains such as ankle rolls or other falls, and more complex conditions like sciatica, headaches and disc disease.

Most often, we work with office workers, labourers and athletes, and are actively engaged within the health and fitness industry so you can be assured of receiving expert advice and high quality treatment.  We employ techniques also appropriate to help pregnant women, the elderly, and clients with chronic disease.  Like many professions, physiotherapy can be extremely diverse, both in the way practitioners treat and the varying treatment modalities they employ. In keeping with our high standards, we have a wealth of experience and a high level of competence.

Prioritising your return to activity as soon as possible.

Treatment will start on your first visit. It is likely to include manual therapy, advice around activity modification and rehabilitation work outside of consultation. We recognise long lists of exercises rarely get followed so we provide simple, quick and effective exercises that provide relief in a short space of time.

We understand you might be keen to get a clear prognosis, however, all conditions differ and thus require different approaches. To ensure you gain the maximum benefits from your physiotherapy sessions, it is imperative that you stick to your rehab program. Treatment is much more likely to work when therapist and patient work synergistically.

Who can we halp?

In addition to treating commonplace injuries from accidents and daily activities, we help athletes with specific injuries incurred through sport or other high-impact, high-speed activities.  It is highly beneficial to those people subject to the postural stresses and repetitive strains involved during office work.

All of our physiotherapists are members of the Australian Physiotherapy Association. Physiotherapists are trained to assess your condition, provide a diagnosis, and educate you about your condition. An effective treatment plan involves taking into account your lifestyle, activities and general approach to health.

Common treatment modalities used by our physiotherapists:

  • exercise programs to improve mobility and strengthen muscles
  • joint manipulation and mobilisation to reduce pain and stiffness
  • Physio Key
  • Sarah Key Method
  • soft tissue mobilisation and sports massage
  • dry needling
  • McGill Method
  • gait and movement re-education.

Is this service right for me?

Many people are confused as to whether they should be seeing a chiro or a physio for their particular concern.  Both our chiropractor and physiotherapist come with many years of experience treating a large range of musculoskeletal problems.

We encourage you to learn a little about the difference between the two professions in our FAQs page, and by reading their individual professional biographies in our about section. Another factor to consider is whether you are covered for chiro or physio services with your private health fund.  On-the-spot private health fund rebates are available for both physiotherapy and chiropractic services using HICAPS.
