We would ask that all new patients please complete and submit a pre-consultation form before arriving at our practice. This form will be emailed to you once you complete the online booking process for your first appointment. Thank you.
What to wear
Please bring suitable attire to your first appointment. To treat your condition effectively, your practitioner would request that males change into sports shorts and females change into sports shorts/tights and a suitable sports bra/top. Whilst not absolutely necessary, it will help your practitioner better assess your complaint. The practice does have a supply of clean shorts available you can use.
What to expect
Initial consultations are 45-60 minutes. This includes a full history and physical examination to diagnose your condition. Providing it is deemed safe, you can expect that your practitioner will treat you during this consultation. You may also be provided with home exercises necessary to accelerate your recovery, as well as advice on the extent to which you may return to activity.
You may require further treatment for your condition, in which case, subsequent consultations are 20 to 30 minutes. In the event that your condition is more complex or you have multiple regions to be treated, you may require a longer consultation, which is 45 minutes.
All appointments will include having your prescribed exercises revised as is consistent with your improvement.
If you cannot make your appointment, please provide one business day’s notice (24hrs). Failure to do so will incur the full fee of your consultation (at the discretion of your practitioner). Providing us with sufficient notice of your cancellation allows us to help others who may be able to fill your appointment time.
